These handmade mugs are great souvenirs for any traveler. They make great gifts and are perfect for any Wisconsinite! Our ceramic mugs are made on the pottery wheel with extra attention to detail and design. They start out as a small ball of clay, then attached to the pottery wheel and formed into cylinder. After a day of drying, the handle and Wisconsin stamp are added. Once completely dried, the mugs are placed in a kiln to be bisque fired to 1900 degrees. After they are cooled a liquid glaze is applied and the bowls are fired in the kiln again to 2165 degrees.
This colorful piece will stand out among its imported counterparts, creating a peaceful atmosphere while you enjoy your favorite beverage.
Each mug is individually made locally in our studio in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The pieces are made of stoneware clay, thrown on the potter’s wheel and fired in a kiln to temperatures up to 2200 degrees. Because of the uniqueness of each piece, the size, shape and color may be slightly different than the picture shown.
