Handmade Rice / Noodle Bowls
Rice pilaf, Ramon noodle or take out. All things will taste better when served in one of our hand made chopstick bowls. These ceramic bowls also make great gifts. Our ceramic chopstick bowls are made on the pottery wheel with extra attention to detail and design. They start out as a small ball of clay, then attached to the pottery wheel and formed into cylinder. After a day of drying the texture is hand carved. Once completely dried the bowls are placed in a kiln to be bisque fired to 1900 degrees. After they are cooled a liquid glaze is applied and the bowls are fired in the kiln again to 2165 degrees.
Each handmade chopstick bowl is approximately 5.5″ diameter x 3″ tall and holds about 14 ounces of liquid. This colorful piece will stand out among its imported counterparts, creating a peaceful atmosphere while you enjoy your favorite entree. The bottom half of each bowl has a hand craved textured with exposed dark clay.
Each chopstick bowl is individually made locally in our studio in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The pieces are made of stoneware clay, thrown on the potter’s wheel and fired in a kiln to temperatures up to 2200 degrees. Because of the uniqueness of each piece, the size, shape and color may be slightly different than the picture shown.
