Iron Pour Workshop
Date: Sept 15th, 2:30pm – 5:30pm
Time: 3 hours, One Day Workshop.
This workshop is designed to introduce participants into the world of iron casting and how iron could couple with ceramic. Learn to create interesting iron bases, or just make a fancy trivet to place your ceramic-ware onto. Participants will challenge themselves in an alternative way of sculpting with a reduction process into a sand mold. Students of all artistic talent and skill sets are encouraged to participate in this workshop.
Cost is $45 including all materials.

Day of Workshop: Participants will have 3 hours with instructor to finish their molds. Anyone wanting more time may take their molds home and return them to The Potter’s Shop no later than Sept 22nd by 2:00pm.
Sept 29th (11am-2pm): Participants are invited and encouraged to attend the Bi-Annual Iron Pour at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. The crew will have hot metal to pour with around 11:00am until about 2:00pm. Watch your mold get poured and take it home the same day! This is not mandatory, any unclaimed molds will be returned to The Potter’s Shop for pick-up. Unclaimed molds after 2-Weeks without communication with The Potter’s Shop will be assumed abandoned and become the property of The Potter’s Shop
