Kids Summer Pottery Camps -Pottery Wheel Only
Youth Pottery Wheel Camp Ages 8-15
A full week of fun and learning at the potter’s wheel! This kid summer camp focuses on the main points of working at a potter’s wheel which include centering a ball of clay, pulling and thinning clay walls, and shaping different vessels. Students get to glaze their own pieces as well! Glazing sessions are scheduled every following Friday at the same appointed time. For example, students enrolled in July 6 -9, 10:30-12, will have their glazing session on Friday, July 17 from 10:30-12.
Throughout the course, of the week long summer camp, students will learn how to make:
- cups
- bowls
- plates
- various vase forms
- mugs
- & much more!!
Students will finish the summer camp with an average of 8 functional pieces of glazed stoneware pottery.
Maximum of 9 students per class. Parents are to drop students off five minutes prior to start time.

Class cancellation policy for Summer Camps:
- The Potter’s Shop will retain a $10 processing fee for all refunds on classes that are held as scheduled. Class fees can be refunded if the student withdraws prior to two weeks before the beginning of classes, but the processing fee is not refundable. There are no refunds once a class has started. No refunds or credit will be given for missed classes, events or workshops. This includes absences due to unexpected events or personal circumstances such as illness. For classes cancelled by TPS due to weather or instructor illness, a makeup class will be rescheduled before the end of the session. We reserve the right to cancel classes or workshops if the minimum enrollment is not reached.

If for some reason your child can not make the scheduled glaze session for their camp date we will make arrangements to attend an alternate glaze session during the summer
Pottery pieces not glazed during the summer will be disregarded after 90 days from the last glaze session date.
Finished pottery pieces not picked up by December 31 will be disregarded.
