Summer Kids Pottery Camps – Intermediate Pottery Wheel Only

Youth Pottery Wheel Ages 8-17

Cost: $115 per child /  additional child $105

Ideal for students who have taken pottery wheel classes at The Potter’s Shop in the past. The class will build upon skills achieved by introducing advanced techniques for working on the pottery’s wheel. This class will present step-by-step instruction on how to center, open, and pull up clay to create bowls, jars, cups and plates. Geared toward those with prior experience, this course may be repeated. On the first day of class, students will discuss and decide on the project theme(s) for the session. Students will also glaze their own pieces as well. Glazing sessions are scheduled every following Friday at the same appointed time. For example, students enrolled in July 27 -30, 1:00-2:30pm, will have their glazing session on Friday, Aug. 7 from 1:00-2:30pm. A full week of fun and learning at the potter’s wheel!

Students will finish the class with an average of 8 functional pieces of glazed stoneware pottery.
